Ci troviamo presso l'Accademia ACLAMI di Milano, con il Maestro Morea, librettista dell'opera lirica TENEA e tenore.
INTERVISTATRICE: Maestro Franco, da tenore e librettista, cosa rappresenta per lei il connubio testo e musica nel Teatro d'Opera?
MAESTRO MOREA: Buongiorno! Sicuramente io, come artista e come "creatore di mondi" - perché a me piace molto creare mondi nuovi - direi che la parola e la musica, il loro insieme, per quello che rappresenta per me, mi hanno sempre condotto verso una direzione che già vedevo immediatamente. Quindi, nel momento in cui proferisci una parola e ci metti insieme una melodia è come avere già un cerchio completo. Io avevo già visto il risultato, ecco, secondo me, il connubio è questo. Parola e musica insieme rendono tutto molto armonioso immediatamente.
INTERVISTATRICE: Cosa volete, e vuole, trasmettere dal testo mettendo in scena l'opera TENEA?
MAESTRO MOREA: In qualità di librettista, tenore, perché chiaramente essendo tenore - librettista, ma in quest'occasione solo librettista, quindi puramente forgiatore di termini, di parole, di poesia. Cosa intendo, insieme al Compositore, al Maestro Longa? Intendiamo dare una visione "nuova", perché no, all'umanità. Dove l'umanità, quindi l'Uomo, la Donna, l'Adamo e l'Eva, i figli e tutto il genere possono riunirsi sotto a un'unica casa, che è quella del Creatore, del Padre Celeste. Sinceramente questo è il cammino.
INTERVISTATRICE: Una chiosa che ci introduca la sua Fede con il suo canto da tenore?
MAESTRO MOREA: Wow, che bella domanda! Sono contento che mi faccia questa domanda perché la Fede nel Cristo mi ha aiutato nella vita, e mi aiuta quotidianamente, a tenere lontano la mia umanità. Quindi in realtà mi piace dire una cosa: se un domani mai dovessi perdere la Fede, sarebbe veramente molto difficile portare addosso l'abito dell'umanità. Sarebbe molto difficile e quindi continuo per questa strada.

We are at the ACLAMI Academy in Milan with Maestro Morea, librettist of the opera TENEA and tenor.
INTERVIEWER: Maestro Franco, as a tenor and librettist, what does the combination of text and music represent for you in opera?
MAESTRO MOREA: Good morning! Certainly, as an artist and a "creator of worlds"—because I really enjoy creating new worlds—I would say that words and music, their combination, for me, has always guided me towards a direction that I could immediately see. So, the moment you utter a word and pair it with a melody, it’s like completing a full circle. I had already seen the result, and that, in my opinion, is the essence of the combination. Words and music together create something immediately harmonious.
INTERVIEWER: What do you wish to convey through the text when staging the opera TENEA?
MAESTRO MOREA: As a librettist and tenor—though in this case, I'm purely a librettist, so just a creator of terms, words, and poetry—what do I mean, along with the Composer, Maestro Longa? We aim to offer a "new" vision, perhaps, to humanity.
A vision where humanity—man, woman, Adam and Eve, the children, and all of humankind—can unite under a single roof, which is that of the Creator, the Heavenly Father. Honestly, this is the path.
INTERVIEWER: Could you share a thought that introduces us to your faith and how it connects with your tenor voice?
MAESTRO MOREA: Wow, what a beautiful question! I’m glad you asked this, because faith in Christ has helped me in life, and it helps me daily to keep my humanity at bay. So, I like to say one thing: if ever I were to lose my faith, it would be very difficult to bear the garment of humanity. It would be very difficult, so I continue on this path.
